Apparently, very few CEmen have had to field-dress an animal.

I wonder if anyone realizes that vegetables bought at a farmer's market have likely been grown in a garden that's had deer guts scattered across it at least once.

It's pretty surprising just how much intestines are packed into a little deer.

good god, people have been killing and eating livestock for thousands of years. Anyone who has a problem with this needs to grow a god damn sack.

We've also been enslaving each other and making 10 year old girls marry grown men for thousands of years

Appeal to tradition is weak sauce my dude

It's not about tradition, it's about the way the world is. Spoken like a true soft dude who's never had to truly work for a meal in his life.

People these days are so distanced from where their food actually comes from they have a distorted view of reality.

Even though I don't care about any religious reasons, I may have to try some halal and/or kosher beef because of that hard-assed quality control at the very least after butchering.

And you seem to have a distorted view of what it means to be manly. There's nothing feminine about caring about others and anyone who says otherwise is probably a teenager. Anyone can inflict suffering upon others, it's not hard and it doesn't make you tough because it's not you. Going through it yourself is the only thing that's impressive, idk how people keep getting mixed up about this.

But anyway if you're talking about hunting, that's great if you get your meat that way. I think that's what everyone should do (everyone who can, anyway). Much better/healthier meat and we have way too many deer in some areas of the US

And you're right about people being distanced from where their food comes from, but it's getting better I think. Bullshit like ag gag laws don't help things though
