Oh hey, I didn't fly under the radar for once. You don't have to agree with someone on things to be their friend, you really just have to be respectful. I have been friends with both negi and Sayoria for quite a while, so it is entirely possible to like different views. I think perhaps the main difference is that I have moved to a state where I am stable. I have a good job. I've finished my surgeries. I have a long-lasting stable relationship. I have a solid social life going. I don't really care about how others are wrapping their heads around me. I've sorted my life out, any issues they have are their own and I quite fully am willing to tell that to them.

I'm not really a trans activist. I don't really belong to real life trans groups. I feel that they are a pretty good source for contacts, but a really lousy form of therapy and self-adjustment, due to the stigmatizing nature, sort of akin to AA meetings and suchforth. It is like you take a bunch of maladjusted people together and ask them to try to sort each other out as best they can, it isn't going to end up pretty. I still think the only real way to readjust is to just go out and be social normally, and not promote voluntary self-segregation.

However, I did get involved in local politics just as is, and am part of a few groups that help to protect women's rights. I also was a part of a local group that got my town officially recognized as a Sanctuary City, which was an exciting experience.

I mean, the fact you say you wouldn't misgender yet doubt the sincerity of my gender and use male pronouns as the default speaks volumes. Especially since I've been using female pronouns since day one on this account, and far longer on my previous one. Makes me wonder if you actually know any trans people outside of CE since your views seem dangerously nave.

DANGEROUSLY NAIVE!!!

I always just assumed you preferred to remain silent about trans issues, because I see a lot of topics on CE about them and you rarely make an appearance.

Both Sayoria and gunplagirl tend to make an appearance in those topics.
@Sayoria usually does good for the topic and tries to explain her side of things and whats going on.
@gunplagirl usually goes off the rails for someone not agreeing with her extreme views 100% of the time.

But @Sylph you are usually silent on the matter.

Well with me, I am selfless. I try to spread awareness of our plight in a sense to get people to understand that we aren't just crossdressers. That we aren't all sexual deviants. That it is okay to have alternating views because we are all different. The key is to respect the other and receive that respect back. It's not that the anti-trans person should exclusively respect or that the transgender person should exclusively respect. It's more that if you.... sorry to revert back to kindergarten, but if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. We are all pawns in a rat race. We all want what is comfortable with ourselves.

Let me put it this way too. People attack me for wanting a sex change. A procedure deemed inhumane by many. At the same time, it is a procedure that I want and affects no one but myself and any future romances I gain. On the same note, I hate tattoos and prefer people not have them. Who am I to tell people they cannot get them? I am an atheist/agnosticish person. You don't see me pushing my beliefs onto the Christian population much like many condemning transpeople and gay people to Hell. I just want what I give and in real life, I am overly respectful. Believe it or not, I call everyone sir or miss, I have no problems apologizing, and I don't know how it happened, but I bow (almost like Asian culture) when I thank or apologize to someone. I am a very cultured person in person and want people to be respectful maybe not on my level to me, but to at least respect me as a person.

That said, I make a lot of trans-based topics to undo damages spread about us. I love people talking to me about trans issues and I make the topics so often because no one has people to ask. When you think of a vet, are you very open to asking them about the most intense times of war, or do you have some awareness of possible PTSD? People genuinely are curious and want to know things. I myself have zero worries about bringing insight to the blind. Transgenderism isn't easy, it can be complex on the outside, in. People have questions about hormones. How the surgeries go. Lili Elbe was the first transwoman to surface for a while in public. Eventually, Christine Jorgensen becomes the first one to have SRS in the 1950s. While signs of transgenderism has been around since the days of Elagabalus, it is still new to society and people genuinely want to know.

I refuse to let people feel locked out. The more people know, the more accepting people will be. You cannot expect a hyena to birth an elephant out of nowhere and expect what the fuck is happening.

You guys have questions, I like being there for them. I'm never offended by this and no other trans person should be either.

Oh. I just don't worry as much about it as that I suppose. I don't mind chiming into a trans topic, but only if I feel like I want to. I don't feel a particular need to explain anything, but I might decide I have something to say, mostly because I find the whole thing pretty interesting, which is probably for the best since I am living it. Usually when I don't decide to join in is when it has mostly just devolved into a shitstorm of trolling, and noone is even trying really. The other reason is I usually only check the boards like once or twice a day, and things are usually over and done with sometimes.

I'm moderate on almost every possible issue.

I don't think getting rid of guns solves anything, but I believe serious and strong scanning of people must be done. I would be in favor of brain scans prior to being allowed to use them. Military or not.

On a pro-gun argument: Police need guns to carry out their duties. I will agree that the right citizen with a gun could stop some seriously messed up attacks. I agree that the second amendment is to be taken seriously.

On an anti-gun argument: I believe that too many people have access to them and they really need to be monitored stronger. Many countries don't have as many guns as we do and their gun homicides are not even a fraction of our own here. I think the less guns that we'd have in our country, the better our country would be. Taking down someone executing attacks with a knife would be better if guns never truly existed.

I mean, it's a tough one to really take a side on. If I had it my way without the bindings of the constitution, I'd rather the country be completely gunless if we could, but that's not at all possible anymore. Guns are everywhere. With that in mind, I just believe in stronger regulating of them. Just because it is a right to bear arms, it isn't a right to bear those incapable of properly using them and carrying out ill-intent.
