TheCyborgNinja 11/09/17 1:50:30 AM #51:	My mom likes Hillary Clinton, at least to an extent, and was in major denial. "Trump will never win. It'll never happen." All summer long my dad and I kept placing all our eggs in that "Trump will probably win" basket. The establishment couldn't rig the GOP nominee, so they rigged the DNC one, not realizing many people simply wanted anything not that. To this day, there's still a ton of blame being cast about Hill-dawg's loss, but no ownership being taken with regards to "she was somehow less appealing than Trump" or "Bernie was railroaded." 2020 will roll around, and they'll cluelessly nominate another dud, I'm sure. At that point, things might sink in, but I think they need another blunder before rock bottom. They're clearly still at the "I can quit whenever I want" stage of their problem. The real test will come if Trump is impeached or resigns, or simply doesn't run again (most likely of the three). If he can find a way to save face like "everyone is against me, it's a conspiracy!" and have people rally behind it, he will probably step down to cheers from his support base with an "at least he tried" attitude among them... That's what it all comes down to: how can he get out of it without looking bad. As soon as he finds a way, he'll take it. It's pretty clear that he's not enjoying the presidency in a number of ways. I'm not American, so I don't really have a horse in the race, but US politics have a global impact, which is why I care. I personally hate the two-party system (because it seems like a communism election, where you're getting candidates from one party who disagree on a couple of issues) and understand but dislike the electoral college.
