Dude was drafted in the 6th round and scouts had a whole bunch of crap to say about him. The Patriots held onto him at first as a 4th string quarterback, and he only got a chance in the NFL because Drew Bledsoe was injured.

He didn't just get lucky.

Actually, the Patriots coaching staff wanted to start Brady but couldn't get Robert Kraft to allow it.
