i would say it's more likely an issue with how we allow men to become socially isolated personally

throughout history men became radicalized when they are economically and socially isolated

i think this is not really different

we're conditioned to think of men's value purely in terms of their accomplishments

an unsuccessful man might as well be dead. it's easy for unsuccessful men to internalize that and angrily decide to take people down with them

or just kill themselves. suicide rates among men are much higher than women. but we never stop and ask if we're doing something wrong when men kill themselves, only when they kill others.

i think feminists are more than happy to acknowledge it.

i think no one likes to acknowledge that the anger that drives them is not some personality flaw that develops because we raise boys to have expectations in life, but the result of conditions we've allowed to develop because of a personality flaw in all of us.

i think the feminist viewpoint as to the path we need to go--socializing boys to be more like girls even as we try to socialize girls to be more like boys--is the wrong direction.

the right direction is socializing everyone to treat boys more like we treat girls, even as we socialize everyone to treat girls more like we treat boys.

i manage to address it without these issues

you might want to consider the level of empathy in your approach and whether it's driven towards helping all people or just helping some people

if the goal is exclusively to end male mass murderers but do absolutely nothing about male suicides, expect men to tune out from the proposed solutions

Depending on your flavor of feminism, though, that won't get you very far. They'll respond to your "it's not men's fault, it's society's fault" by explaining that in this patriarchy it's women who raise the kids so blaming society is blaming women for something men are doing.

i am simply noting that the challenges in public discourse are as much driven by resistance to change from society as they are flaws in the proposed changes

but yes, i am not a politician. i don't think i'd handle politics well, honestly.

Women are more likely to take the world as it is, whatever their lot in life is. Men however will try and make the world into their image. Damn near everything that exists in the world from technology to skyscrapers to our societies were built by the hands and sacrifices of men.

Men are basically "doers", mostly this is positive but when a man becomes angry with the world, with his fate, with society, he is much more likely to lash out violently.

Obviously a little of both. But mostly nature. Testosterone makes men more lilely to take risks, more likely to do dangerous things, of course it also makes men stronger and sturdier...more likely to survive said risks. This has always been the cae and will alwayd be the case.

Just as women are valuable simply for being women (and able to birth children) men are only valuable for what they can do. Now you can say that that's societal but it is society following biology. What society has stopped doing is making sure to value men. Men need responsibilities, they need respect, they need to feel like they have power even if it is only within their own tiny circle. We used to have a society that afforded all men a certain level of respect, thats gone. We used to have a society that basically made sure near everyone was married (2 birds with 1 stone you give a man sex and responsibility over his family), now thats gone.

The most important thing is you used to have people connected to a community. Where you and your family were being judged all the time and everyone knew people and had expectations of each other. Now you have soo many people alone with their computers and their own thoughts...its dangerous.

Snoopyfemme was actually a neo-nazi. Though she may have preferred just being called a nazi.

Weird stuff, that.

Anyway this issue will NEVER be discussed constructively, it's doomed from the getgo, and the reason is simple:

People see the question: "why are men so much more likely to go on shooting sprees than women" and there are two sides that see this question, and rush to answer. One side is going to say something like "this is because of the oppressive pressures and expectations society puts on men. It makes them suicidal. It destroys their self worth. Kills them with anxiety. Loneliness. Fills them with rage. Some lash out this way" and the other side is gonna say something at the same time, along the lines of "it's because society coddles men and the moment their privilege fails them, all that they feel entitled to because of the patriarchy causes them to lash out violently, because men by nature are violent, ruthless, animalistic and dangerous"

And those sides will look at each other, and see nothing but blood and the resulting conflict renders any semblance of coherency void, leaving nothing but a hate-filled wasteland.

I'm not very convinced, honestly. I think that there's a lot of people overestimating the impact of nature based on much too little evidence.
Furthermore, while nature might have initially shaped society and our norms, I don't necessarily think that it's beyond us to reshape it. While it's of course prudent to acknowledge biological differences between men and women, I think many assume causal relationships with these differences way too often, with too little evidence.
