Was using an S3 all the way until its circuits got too worn out and it kept losing its charge.

Seriously, for the last month, it would lose like 1% battery life every 30 seconds while browsing the internet.

Now, I've got a (relatively) new phone!

Got some questions though.

What's a good adblocker for android? Even though it uses chrome, it doesn't allow for addons like ublock (Which is a stupid design choice).

Also, I already disabled all the apps that I don't need, but it still kinda loses battery too quickly for my tastes, so I was thinking whether I should root it to get rid of all the bloatware and install a proper adblocker.

I use Firefox Mobile with uBlock Origin and NoScript.

S6 is only two generations back so it likely still gets updates. I know my S7 does. Consider not rooting it. Updates often contain security patches and those are important.

Guess I'll just use Firefox for now.

But I can't seem to find NoScript for android. It seems like it's only for desktop browsers?

I'm definitely using it on my desktop, but also on my phone.

I got a refurbished Galaxy S6, but quickly returned it when I realized it didn't have an SD card slot. That's a deal breaker for me, so I just went with an S5.

That battery drain is almost what it was like on my phone's battery, so I simply bought a new battery; it works much better than the original.

S6 didn't have a card slot? Huh. On my S7 Active I do. I don't know if the standard S7 does, though.

Yeah, the S6 doesn't have a removable SD card, but it's no big deal for me.

I hardly used up the 8 gig sd card on my S3, so I certainly have a lot more wiggle room with the S6's 32 gig internal storage.

I mostly use my phone for contacting family members and internet browsing.
