just like any good show. swap out the subject matter (hoolywood lifestyle, drugs, crime, sci-fi, etc) and most "good" TV shows are the exact same.

well written, likable characters, builds suspense well, great pacing, reveals a supernatural threat very organically so you feel like you're discovering stuff along with the cast, does a great job of balancing main characters with various ages and making them all involved in the mystery with all of them being useful and none feeling annoying, etc
