I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a Switch. Here are my 2 options:

1.) Buy with 5% cashback card.

2.) Buy with 2% cashback card, which also has 2 additional features. "Price rewind" aka if the item becomes cheaper within 90 days after the purchase price, I get credited the difference. This card also adds two years to the original warranty.

What is the likelihood of the Switch having a price reduction of >3% on Black Friday? What is the value of the warranty extension?

Switch won't get a price reduction, but will probably have a gift card of $50 for whatever store you get it from. Or maybe you just get an extra game with the console.

1. Do you take good care of your systems?
My SNES still works to this day....

2. The chance of the switch getting a reduction before the holidays is 0%

So unless you trash your consoles, the 5% money back is better

EDIT: Also keep in mind we are talking about $15 vs $6.00

hardly a big deal either way.

Hell with that price difference, maybe the warranty is the better option.

Pokemon X/Y is still $40, and you think the Switch will get a price reduction? Lol.

As everyone said theres no chance of a price reduction on BF. Maybe at best some place will have a bundle deal but nothing on just the console itself

@Dustin1280 is a good guy, GREAT guy

on second though, this might make the most sense. If it allows you to replace the console for another two years if it breaks, it might not be the worse thing. Certainly more bang for you buck, even tho I generally never go for warranties.

Switch won't go down in price, the games might, or as someone else mentioned a gift card might be thrown in.

Yeah I wouldn't count on a price reduction for Switch for Black Friday.
