Board 8 > My mother cellphone just got stolen

She works as a babysitter to two kids, a girl and a kid that was sleeping inside a stroller
She took them out shopping, and went to the bathroom, asked the girl to keep watch on the stroller

The girl decided to pull a prank because fuck kids, and told my mother someone took the stroller
My mother panicked and got out from the bathroom immediately, and noticed the prank
Well they continued walking and 2 minutes later my mother realized she forgot the phone in the bathroom
She went back..to find it was gone

She asked random strangers for a call and called my father, he came to help her find it
She remembered the only person there besides here was the janitor, they conforted him and asked him about the phone
He denied taking it, because of course he did. Said a lot of people come and go, and someone might have taken it
Cameras are a no-go and there isn't really anyone to talk too
My mom told him she will call the police, he said he doesn't mind..but soon after, he disappeared

Meanwhile, my sister called me by phone and asked when I am coming home because she has no key and my mom phone was stolen
Told her 10 minutes, and when I got home I opened the door and told her I am going to check if I can help find the phone
When we got out, my father came back and said there is no way to get it back, but I said I have to try anyway

I got there, saw the janitor in the man bathroom, and saw the janitor room (however it's called?) was open
I started picking up stuff, maybe he hid it there?

It was here. Inside the trash can. Hidden between the rags.

I am so fucking mad right now, I was shaking like a psycho and wanted to beat the hell out of him but my sister told me that we should just take it and go

But even now, a hour later, while I am supposed to be happy I found it, I am still just mad and regret not doing anything
Not calling the police, not punching his fucking face, nothing
And my mother said she will call the company that hires him and complain about him
Yeah, so he will get fired from being a janitor? poor guy, as if it's worth anything

Instead of being happy, I am furious he won't be punished, I at least wanted to see his face when he realize the phone he stole is gone, but I won't be able to do it either

Bump because it's a good story and because I really want to know what other people would do in this scenario

Now that my rage is kind of gone I realize that picking up a fight would be dumb
He would probably beat me and well..maybe I would be the one behind bars for assault?

Sadly there isn't one
It's a cleaning company and they just drop that guy there for a few hours and don't really sit there
It is possible to call them on phone I guess but not the same thing
