GhettoFlip 10/28/17 3:11:19 PM #1:	I used to be a big fan of rap. It was the only genre I listened to up until high school. I used to frequent hip hop forums (like the one here on gfaqs but also others), even read books on it. I was one of those guys that listened to a lot of classic, seminal, and underground hip hop, not so much commercial crap like Eminem. But now I really hate it. I went from slowly listening to less of it and more of other things, losing interest, but now it's an active dislike (except for Wu-Tang. I still have a soft spot for the Wu). Everyday I'm thankful I got into better music in high school / college. Unfortunately, some of the worst rap is the most popular right now. So you have to do a lot of digging on your own to find good underground shit. It's out there, just not well known. And usually very localized. It's really difficult to talk about rap in general in group discussions now since 'rap' can mean so many different artists/subgenres to certain people. You can literally have two people who love rap who have never listened to the other's favorite artists.
