The reason I'm asking this is because my GBA SP background light went out. I can't play it in the dark anymore which is annoying. So I'm going to get another SP and a Link Cable. I already have two copies of BN2. I will buy BN3 white also. I can't remember if the rest of the games in the series require both. Do they? What about BN5 on DS? Can I 100% that game on DS or does it require multiple games?

Even the DS version of BN5? If so, can the 3DS communicate with a old DS? Or is it better to just play it on the GBA? Sorry for all the questions.

I think 3(Although you can get very deep in the post game without another copy) MMBN2 requires MMBN1 to unlock the secret 10 chips and hard mode, And thats it iirc. MMBN5 I know for sure I was able to get all emblems with just Team Protoman version. And the DS version allows you to get everything from both games with just the cartidge.

I can't fully recall what was the case with BN4. BN6 is also completable by itself.

Also if you get the wii U versions off the virtual console, if you go to the comms section of them menu and save you get all the secret chips and other stuff that required multiplayer. You can do this even in the beginning of the game to unlock Giga chips and Bass cross Rockman from MMBN5

Also the DS version of 3DS I believe you can do multiplayer with locally. Not sure if its with just to another 3DS or if it cross communicates with the DS too.

Well I have BN1 but I know you can get the secret chips in BN2 by S ranking another player that has BN2. So I can quickly do that.

Also I'm glad I can complete the rest without another copy. Thanks for all the info.
