Most overrated things are overrated for a reason. Its not always a good reason, but when it comes to video games, it pretty much always is.

I've read that it's great, but the post game content was better. Also, it's a Mario game. People shouldn't expect it to be super difficult or too challenging.

Side note: It's OK to like the game if it didn't get a perfect score on all gaming websites and if people on the internet say "it's over rated" or other meaningless complaints.

True, but they've been aiming their games toward the casual market. Most people who have bought a Switch or any of the previous consoles. Haven't played the Mario games from 1982. I do think it would be interesting if they brought back stuff from Super Mario Brothers 3 and Mario 64. Those two games pretty much took over my life as a kid and were my only late night friends. (Plus scrambled Cinemax and porn)
