I feel like I'm probably missing out on a massive music catalogue, the way east coasters talk about this guy. Yet the only real song of his I know is Born to Run, and I consider it a truly legendary, incredible song.

Does he have anything else of this calibre? Of course I also know of his Born in the USA song but I don't consider that real music. He just repeats the same thing over and over for 5 minutes in protest, it's stupid. If he has other things as good as Born to Run I'd really like to delve into that.

Ok it looks like all his full albums are available on Amazon Prime Music, so I'll try listening to Born to Run and The River!

The "big 4" on Born to Run is considered to be Thunder Road, Backstreets, Born to Run, and Jungleland. I'd say Backstreets is my favorite too but you can't go wrong with any of those.

Man when he hits that last verse in Born to Run it's so fucking epic, I just feel like cheering.

She's the One is actually my favorite song off that album.

I've heard good things about Nebraska and Born in the USA and Nebraska, but have never gotten around to listening to the full albums

Nebraska is good but way different than his more popular stuff. It's way more stripped down, slower, and lyrically focused. Born in the USA has some excellent songs but I don't care for the first half, and the 80s pop sound is divisive. I'm a fan of his second album E-Street Shuffle, with its longer songs. Also the River with its fun rockers.
