SoR2.
Final Fight 3 is mechanically as good as that franchise ever got, but it was already kind of outperformed by Streets of Rage. Also Yuzo Koshiro slayyyyed that soundtrack, honey.    --- The n- word seems to be in Google's T9 swipe dictionary and I literally can not. 15 Transwomen of color have been murdered since 1/1/2017 ... I know SoR is way more popular but you really should try Final Fight, you can do a lot more moves and it feels smoother. Streets of Rage 1 cant compete against Final Fight 1 IMO, music wise yes but not in terms of gameplay

Playing them as a kid, I definitely would have said Final Fight. But playing them now, I'll go with Streets of Rage easily.

SoR2 by a wide margin.
I liked FF, but it felt a bit sluggish overall IMO and has some ridiculous difficulty spikes. Final Fight 2 is my favorite in that series --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

With its detailed stages and addictive, action-orientated gameplay, Streets of Rage 2 is rightfully considered one of the best video games ever made, being celebrated pretty much anyone who's picked up the controller to play it ;)

Final Fight started as an arcade title that brought in the quarters. All Streets of Rage was just a budget home console me-too clone.

Final Fight CD on the Sega CD. The conversion is near arcade perfect but the soundtrack was way more improved over the arcade version.
