Darkseid has goals like "conquer the multiverse"

Joker's goals are "make Batman angry"

ultimately the extreme pettiness of Joker's motivations make him a much worse person. If he had the power of Darkseid, he'd be unquestionably the guy everyone else hated.

Kinda have to agree with this, Batman has become a bit of a meme to me. Given enough prep time, he can deal with pretty much anything and everything, which is hard to believe for a simple mortal.

I really enjoyed Batman up till Justice League Doom, after that I started losing interest.

Hell, Superman is far better a character than Batman, and his powers make him boring, but the ideas and morals behind them, make him interesting again (like when fighting in Metropolis, he has to be constantly aware of his strength, as to not tear down the entire city, or accidentally kill someone).

True, Darkseid do more evil because he is an evil person, while the Joker do it just for lulz and to get Batmans attention.
In that way, Joker is most likely the worst character.
I guess Lobo should be mentioned because he got no problems killing somebody innocent, but he still follow a code of honor and can do good from time to time.

Azamo was it, I think? Yeah that was rather silly.

My biggest gripe is that DC has so many interesting characters, but are handled poorly.

Then again, Marvel has stupidly OP characters (like Matthew Malloy) which could be used for interesting and morally developing plots, yet get simply erased.

Honestly, most modern comics are kind of lazy and meh.

If ya'll are talking about the cartoon, he only beat Amazo because Amazo underestimated him because he didn't have powers. Batman realized that Amazo must have copied Superman's weaknesses too, so he just pulled kryptonite on him and Amazo didn't know how to deal with it. And it only worked one time because Amazo adapted after that.
