Board 8 > Is anyone else playing that WayForward Mummy game?

At first I really hated it because the difficulty was ridiculous (I could rant about those goddamn bats for a while). But apparently I did some stuff out of order by accident, so I may have been in later areas without upgrades I was supposed to have gotten already, which made it even harder. I'm still taking a lot of bullshit hits and farming health sucks, but at least now that I've gotten some more health upgrades I'm not at risk of dying so much, so it's gotten a lot more tolerable.

I've noticed some reviews really being negative on the difficulty while others don't even mention it and are much more positive overall, I wonder if this is something that's common?
