I was nine years old in my neighbor's yard with a few of my friends, ages 10 and 6. The neighbor was about four years old and was moving away in a few days so this was potentially the last time we would ever see him.

We had been playing teeball in his front yard and I was the last one up to bat, I wanted to smack this one right out of his yard to impress him and give him a good memory of me for him to remember. I set up the plastic ball on top of the tee and the boy stood on his "pitchers" mound directly in front of me. I cocked my elbows and arms back and unloaded on the ball, it was a line drive. Right. In. His. Face. So now instead of some amazing MLB esque home run right down the street, his final memory is of me smacking a wiffle ball dead set on his nose.

He cried and cried and cried and I never saw him again.

I played in whatever Lions Club league or something like that as a kid and I remember taking a ground ball to the nuts.
