The last time I hardcore dieted I lost 25lbs over the span of 3.5 months. This was like 4 years ago. I counted calories for the first 2 months then went on cruise control eating the same thing every day. I was very strict with what I ate. I even measured out the dressing for my salad, and made sure not to exceed 2 tablespoons, the serving size.

Since then I haven't counted calories, I just go on healthy trends and generally get to a decent weight but i plateau. Now I wanna make a new plataeu about 10-15lbs less than previous.

in the past when i dieted hard, all i made was chicken salads, oven baked, with no added oil, just seasoning.

I find that stir fry ends up using a bit too much oil.

I only use avocado oil because it's something like 75% monounsaturated fats which will actually aid in losing weight. Coconut oil is healthy too. Just make a point to avoid the bad oils.

Everyone thinks coconut oil is healthy but honestly its probably not.

american heart association recommends against using coconut oil. Basically it has a shit ton of saturated fat, so it increases LDL. It increased HDL as well, but studies have shown that dietary modification leading to an increased in HDL does not modify cardiovascular risk. Therefore their conclusion is that because it increased LDL, it is bad for you and they recommend against it.

Slow cookers are your friend. You can make delicious buffalo chicken sandwich filling by tossing a couple of chicken breasts in zero-low calorie buffalo sauce and cooking them on low for 7 hours before shredding

Learn how to make chicken soup from scratch and add in plenty of veggies. You can also marinate sliced strips of chicken breast over around 3-4ish days, so you can make just enough to cook those in like ten minutes when you don't feel like soup. Oatmeal or eggs for breakfast. Watermelon or Greek yogurt for a snack.

All of these are low calorie, and very filling. Eating slowly also helps you feel more full for the same amount of food.

Consider adopting new, different things into meals you might already be making. Such as making salads with arugula. It's about five calories a cup and you can find some good salad recipes for it. Turkey breast deli meat and cod are good. Substitute eggs for liquid egg whites in recipes requiring eggs. Whole grains, nuts, and legumes are always good to add as a small filling snack.

Try to eat six small meals evenly throughout the day to keep your metabolism up too.

You can actually create some halfway decent chicken salad with greek yogurt instead of mayo.
