Without watching these videos, I've seen people that legit think it is another Kojima ruse.

But yeah, more likely he's just carrying over ideas/themes.

Kojima isn't that creative anymore, and Konami wouldn't tank their reputation over a twist like this.

We're talking about a guy who thought he was tricking everyone when he swore The Phantom Pain wasn't a Metal Gear game because he had someone wear a shitty mask and had Geoff Keighly act like he wasn't in on it.
