If it really did write out V from existence, that would blow my mind. It'd be nice to have a real MGS game. V was pretty much an unmitigated disaster. We still got a good game but ultimately, it was pretty underwhelming for the purported final MGS game.

Yeah because them forcing Kojima's hand on a bunch of shit for the sake of penny pinching and a petty vendetta at the tail end of MGSV's development definitely made it a better game overall

Kojima straight up mentioned Snake would talk less from the start. He picked Kiefer because he has a hard-on for American actors.

I know Kojima fanboys like to think Konami is the sole reason for why MGSV exists the way it does. But no one at Konami likely told Kojima to have that stupid plot twist, nor the halfassed story or pointless open world, or many of the other things that make MGSV trash

People literally found unused voice lines of Kiefer Sutherland in the code of the game, that were said aloud in the Japanese dub there's a big difference between talking less and not talking at all.

I do voice acting on occasion and extra lines are done all the time and hidden away for various reasons. Sometimes it's DLC prep, others its failsafing. In Persona the protagonist even has callouts for his teammates Personas in case someone hacks them in.

So no, a few unused lines don't mean anything. They don't pay you per line for a big game like this.

Stop assuming that everything is tied to MGSV being trash because at this point your speculation is just that. Kojima fucked up most of MGSV on his own and Konami only intensified it.
