Might have had something to do with it, but it's also worth noting that it had two ride chaser stages and while the snow one was not-terrible the city one really did suck a whole lot. And I loved the story in all 3, but there wasnt enough of it in 2... the game was short and too focused on Jr (most annoying character). And the artsyle change was jarring and didnt uncalled for.
