Many? No. It's actually a common complaint among trans individuals dealing with gay culture. Cis (non-trans) gay people generally want partners who convincingly appear as and function sexually the gender they were physically born as. It can be a tediously convoluted explanation, but the general gist is that most regular lesbians want other regular female partners and most regular gay men want regular male partners. It's just how it works.

(If you're trans, you're not what constitutes as regular. You're not the norm. Such is life.)

Although some cis gay people are interested in dating trans partners. It's just an uncommon preference.
