D. Healers are 100% the worst classes to play in any game and only serve to make action take longer and allow health pools to be smaller, which allows for squishy characters to be burst down, which also sucks.

In most games I've played healers are shit. Though I'm a cleric in a DnD campaign, but I went the route of a tank cleric so I didn't have to put up with party shenanigans. That's fun.

What's actually fun is playing a game without strict class strategies (more like rules). Devising your own plan and executing it is way more satisfying than "yay I perfectly filled the mold that was outlined to me"

There would still be the best, most efficient way to play and others would expect you to play that way or you get massive shit from others, unless its SP game.

Disagree. With Winston, I keep the hope alive by flying around and landing on people. If I die, then it's over. The healers job is to keep me topped off with health so I don't die and that's about it. Once I finish killing off the team, it's me that gets all the glory and praise.

Tanks = Quaterback
Healers = Health Bartender

While technically true, the more variables there are, the less likely you'll find that exact efficiency.

Fam prot pally was so fun hashtag notfun in wotlk. 969 for days.

But yeah, my guild was top 50 US at the start of Legion. Blood sucked and paladins were so boring yet effective. Tanking Mythic Cenarius was mind numbingly boring

In MMOs, I most certainly preferred tanks. I prefer heavy armor, sword and board type of aesthetic. Something about the front line nature. The crowd management in the case of games that had you deal with groups of mobs.

Then boss battles. Something about being the one right in the face of a giant fucking dragon. I couldn't get enough of it. I also liked serving as the de-facto leader or communicator in the groups.

But I'd say I enjoy healing too, but more so in an Overwatch type of setting. In MMOs, I felt it was more stand back and press a button. In OW, a healer like Ana felt mechanically interesting. I really miss pre-nerf when she had a bit of a sting too, because there was that element of triage. I could focus on all healing, or I could be more reliable than a Soldier or Mcree at taking down a Pharah (3 quick shots from a rapid semi-auto sniper) which I thought was more preventative than trying to outheal a Pharah just lobbing rockets.

On the subject of WoW though, never had more fun than when DKs first came out. I remember reading someone theorycrafting a DPS dual wield frost build and everyone thought it was the dumbest fucking idea on the planet.

I tried it and it was so overwhelming broken, I can't put it to words. When I did Naxx with my guild, our top DPS would sit around ~3k and I was dealing 10k. Our entire team except for me, a rogue, and a priest wiped on the "dancing boss" (forgot the name) at around 80% boss health. I managed to hold aggro from the rogue and priest and we 3 took it down ourselves.

The value I brought, holy hell. My guild showered me with loot and I could come and go as I pleased. It was also fun always playing with randoms who'd always question the build and then just demonstrate its sheer brokenness before it got patched out.
