US territories are part of america. when standing in a territory you are legally in America. and the people are citizens, and they use American currency

I can understand not knowing Guam is part of the USA. It's fucking tiny and even further out west than Alaska and makes Hawaii look close.

But Puerto Rico is literally right near and in sailing distance of Florida and is enormous compared to Guam.

Regardless of what "other people" know and how much they care...Trump is the President...he should always know and care. Judging how he acts and what he knows using the average citizen as a comparison isn't the best thing to do...

They were at one point. Colonized by Spain and then bought by the United States, becoming our territory. So I'm curious if you would consider a nation in Asia to be part of America. I'm fully prepared to go further with this btw.

The Philippines has been an independent nation since 1946. Wherever you're prepared to go with this, you're going to be wrong, just so you're comfortable with that knowledge.

A US Embassy in Germany is part of America.

I don't think you really understand how countries claim territory.

You're dodging the point and you know it.

Let's go further, shall we?

The Cayman Islands are today owned by Great Britain. It is considered a British Overseas Territory. It's clear on the other side of the world map! They operate independently but are owned by Britain. Are they a part of Britain?

According to wiki, what is that? What wiki are you talking about? What a worthless response. No, it's owned by Britain, it's not a part of Britain. Puerto Rico is owned by the US, it's not a part of the US. They're not a state, they can't vote, they have their own government. This isn't rocket science.

And that's also exactly how international territory and citizenship work. Marvelous.
