So I am staying with my dad now, he is leaving to his home country in the next month or so. He always leaves me in charge and still does now that I stay here but yes I left some evidence, mostly 9 years ago when I was 17 and partying a lot. So he gives my mom the keys and early this morning when I was sleeping she came in and hid my laptop, keys, phone, TV remote etc. I woke up and assumed I got robbed, she told me where it was after a long convo her claim was to see if I am alert, but I don't think that is cool. Gaslighting is making someone feel they are crazy, is this not some form of it?

I wouldn't call it that but either way not fair at all.

It would be gaslighting if she tried to convince you that you should remember where your stuff was because you were there when she moved it, or you moved it yourself or whatever.

That is what she kind of did, when my dad leaves I will put on the chain lock. She claimed she wanted to teach me a lesson about security but I felt she went too far.

not gaslighting but it is fucked up.
