Maybe I'm in a gaming rut but this game just bores me to tears and I'm not even done with everything on Eos. I was obsessed with the original trilogy. Loved Mass Effect 1 so much I beat it in one weekend. Same with Mass Effect 2.

Andromeda just isn't very fun. It feels like the devs wanted to recreate the feeling of the first Mass Effect but they shit the bed along the way. I don't think the game is a piece of garbage but it's not fun or interesting at all.

It doesn't get any better unfortunately. All the planets follow a very similar structure. On top of that you then have quests that make you jump between planets and galaxies. So you have long stretches of monotonous loading and travelling.

People forgot that after the first playthrough, Mass Effect 1 was also boring as fuck.

Imagine someone sitting around and saying "You know, everyone went nuts for how streamlined and combat focused ME2 and ME3 were, why not go back to the boring ass explore a desolate planet approach of Mass Effect 1 except make it 10x bigger?"

At least ME1 had a good story

I mean, ME1's main story was fucking great. And the missions that followed that were great too.

The side content was boring as fuck.

And for some reason, they focused on that side content for Andromeda it seems like.

It is always better to create planets with quality in mind, there does not need to X - Amount for generic quests.

Felt a lot like DA: Inquisition. More MMO-style shallow sandbox. I like MMOs, so I didn't mind, but I can see why a lot of people would think it was a bad design choice. The story was forgettable. I just enjoyed delving a tiny bit more into ME lore, and the combat was decent enough.

I paid $20 for Andromeda and came in after a few patches that fixed a lot of the glaring issues at launch. It certainly doesn't compare to the triology, but I went into it with my expectations checked. I enjoyed it, but I certainly didn't remorse trading it in for $15 towards Destiny 2 after I completed my first play through.
