Really bizarre set of events. Yesterday, we were helping a woman jump start her car. We noticed that she was clearly an addict, as she had track marks in her arms and was very petite. Then her friend comes up and asks my girlfriend for a cigarette and snatches my girlfriend's phone up. We GPS track it and she follows them into a grocery store restroom where she finds the woman unconscious and foaming at the mouth with a needle in her arm and a spoon on her chest. She can't call for emergency services because the addict - hav been hoisted by her own petard - took her phone. She starts yelling for help and a woman refuses to call the cops because "She doesn't fuck with addicts." But finally, eventually, someone comes to save her and an ambulance is finally called. Her friend had abandoned her so my girlfriend tracked her down. "Why were you following us?" "Because you stole my phone!" My girlfriend explains to her she doesn't even care about the stupid phone right now, but the woman is so defensive, she runs off to throw the phone into the parking lot first before talking to police... so we did get the stolen phone back too. But it was pretty crazy. Proud of my woman though.

Should've beaten the junkies ass for stealing her phone then throwing it and let the other druggie OD in the restroom.

Sorry its early... was focusing on the throw... i think it was left closer to the side walk and the woman that spotted it said she dropped it off at the subway we came out of. My girlfriend was surprised and horrified to learn that no one gave a shit about the life of a dying drug addict though. One girl even came into the restroom while she was screaming for the junkie to wake up, took a piss, and left non-chalantly.
