I still don't see the graphics looking bad considering the time it came out. but lol at using graphics to bash a game. cause you know thats whats really important in a game.

if graphics where important at all no body would give a fuck about FF 7. mario 64 had better character models than that game and came out before it.

I have the DS game but I haven't tried it yet. I'm kind of nervous to after reading reviews.

It's not as good as the previous games, and recycles too much of what was good instead of creating new interesting things, as in there isn't much new to discover, the story itself is boring and it feels like you're not really heading anywhere most of the time.

I was gonna order the ds one and play it but I heard it ends on a cliffhanger or something.

It does. But the since the game's sales were sub par, like the game itself, Nintendo had the series canned.

I'm not sure Camelot has the capabilities to make a good JRPG in 2017 too be honest, if they ever revived Golden Sun they'd need someone else to develop it. Camelot at best should provide information on where they intended the story to go.

I wish they would make one just to put a close to the storyline. then can it.

I nominate Namco Tales Studio, if only because of this picture.

GS done in a Tales of Vesperia visual style would be a dream come true. Add a bunch of skits in for good measure.

I just saw a YouTube video of Golden Sun the other day. Don't know much about it, but it looks beautiful for a GBA game. I'm considering playing it, though the only RPGs I really enjoy are either Digimon or Shining Force types.

Golden Sun is actually made by the same company that made Shining Force. In fact, Golden Sun's sprites should look very familiar if you have played Shining Force III. That said, Golden Sun is more of a traditional turn based RPG with a very heavy emphasis on environmental puzzles.

Highly recommend you check it out. Just know that Golden Sun and its sequel are really two halves of one game, and should be played as such.

golden sun looked amazing for a 2001 handheld game. can you imagine going from black and white pixel graphics of the gameboy to golden sun? because that's what it was in 2001

I actually looked it up because I was curious about what other games they made. The PlayStation game Beyond The Beyond seems to be universally panned, but the overworld's graphical style is the same as the Shining Force games, so I find myself intrigued. As shallow as this may seem, I find those dialog boxes much more visually pleasing than the ones in Final Fantasy VI.

i already posted an example of just how shitty golden sun looked.
