-First you have to get a random drop from a Cabal
-Then you have to get 5 more of these to drop by killing Cabal on a specific planet
-Then you need to beat the Raid
-Then you have to beat a 300-power level (higest right now is 305) version of one of the Strikes with a countdown timer and other random bullshit

So this gives you the weapon BUT YOURE NOT DONE! You gotta upgrade it to unlock its true power!

-You have to kill 25 Cabal (any way), kill 15 Cabal short-range, and then kill 10 Cabal without reloading
-Then you have to get 100 Emperor Seals by replaying the Raid a few times

Idk I kinda like it. Everything in this game is easy as fuck to get anyways. If the prestige raid doesn't have an exotic weapon drop Destiny 2 is gonna be shit until the DLC and even then who knows

The thing is...it isn't. They made everything so easy now. The raid was hard mechanically at first but it could be beaten in under 30 minutes legitimately now. Trials and Iron Banner doesnt even care about light level so whats the point

Destiny and, even moreso, Destiny 2 are games built on a really, really good engine... that's completely wasted.

It is ridiculous. The potential is there and limitless, and yet the game is the most barebones bullshit it can possibly be. Where are the variant game modes for Crucible? Why are there no PVP overworld maps? Why doesn't soccer work well (the phsyics are SHIT) and why doesn't that have its own game mode? Where are the races? Why are fireteams so small? Why can't we keyboard chat with other players? Much less trade with them and the like. Why is there so little to do in a game where you can supposedly do so much?

The game doesn't let you do anything but stay on the rails and play it the way THEY want you to play it. The campaign is just go from A to B, shoot a few thousand of the same guy, and then go from B to C to grab the McGuffin and shoot a thousand more of that guy, followed by a few boss guys you can one-shot with your super, and then you go back to the Mission Man for your next A to B. Repeat this until new planet, until campaign over. Then you can do Strikes and shoot even more of the same guy but under slightly more annoying conditions. I say slightly because you have to struggle to make this game a challenge. There's even a video on Youtube where a guy waltzes through, letting himself get shot, making no effort to play smart and he is breezing through the game! I didn't believe it, so I tried the same thing and lo and behold, the game really is that easy. All those times you thought you were some badass, the game was just holding your hand. What a heap of shit.

That weapon levelling plan sounds like complete garbage.
