I really like the idea of those net guns though, if someone tries to rob you, you just go spiderman on their ass

Well the predator has made great strides in netgun technology, a strong net that cuts into the skin the more you resist. Theres also a version that tightens the net automatically cutting into the skin until they either bleed to death or it cuts into the brain enough.

We should explore these alternatives, maybe even include one that electrocutes the person trapped as it cuts into their skin if they resist. Many many interesting possibilities to explore and experiment with.

Did you completely miss the part where I said demand would create better flamethrowers for personal defense? They wouldn't barbecue people alive at that point, just cause a mild burning sensation that would compel them to cease and desist, which would go away once they ceased and desisted

We should probably look at how SSRIs are being prescribed and how people on them are being treated/monitored, as a large majority of these shooters were on the drugs at the time or shortly before. The drugs are also known to sometimes have very bad side effects.

It's probably more beneficial to get to the root of the underlying issue, as people will find other ways to kill if they want to.

Correlation is not causation. Fact of the matter is, 99.9999% of SSRI users are not mass killers, but a large majority of mass killers suffer from depression or similar mental disorders.

I just thought of something. What if we all, as in everyone in the world, just killed ourselves via gunshot, then in a twist, all guns were sentient all along and had been plotting our demise so they could take over as the apex species on the planet? Wouldn't that be a real knee-slapper?
