I like Kojima, but I have to admit it was jarring that he said basically nothing over the first five missions. In fact, I think I remember feeling something similar during Ground Zeroes. Let Snake be Snake, man.

It's just preposterous that he hardly fucking speaks the entire game

Keifer is a great talent and has such an awesome voice and they hardly utilized it. Might have well has kept Hayter tbh. I mean he can't do the roll anymore and his voice is pretty well shot, but doesn't really matter if the character hardly speaks.

It's debated.

A lot of people say he was losing it.

Personally I thought he was great in 4 and Peace Walker and considering how few lines Snake had in V/Ground Zeroes I don't get why he couldn't do it

After MGS4 he had a harder time going back to younger Snake, but this recent trailer from last year shows it's just fine

Basically the same reason why MGSV had a dumbass plot twist as well: "lol Snake is actually you so therefore he'll act in your image"
