I mean, it's fine with the whole social statification thing. But there's also female robots dancing around for men who live them, blowing up of machinery, and mad inventors.

Thea von Harbou, the wife of Fritz Lang, was actually was a huge supporter of the Nazi regime and she helped write the film. The two of them eventually divorced over Lang's issue with his wife being like, a freakin' Nazi. :u

So I think there might be shades of that in the film as well? It's a very interesting film regardless.
