However, instead of taking their issues up with Police Departments who were killing black people (read as: not your everyday white citizen) BLM decided the best course of action would be to block roadways and tell white citizens who had done them no wrong that they were racist and March through cities that never had any incidents like Wilson murdering Brown.

If Black people really cared about ending Police Brutality, they wouldn't stand in the middle of a highway/interstate (which police are supposed to help protect and maintain, and something like protesters coming out and blocking it requires them to come and attempt to remove them..which, I guess if this was part of BLM's strategy to confront police, I guess it works?) And they would be trying to change police and prisons from the inside out. If Black People started entering Police academies and becoming officers of the law, they could really do something to end the brutality they detest so much.

It's such a reductionist way to look at things.
Sure, it works for the folks who want to do that job, would be good at it, and could qualify for it. But what about the 40 year old doctor who isn't happy with what he sees? Should Philando Castile's mom sign up for the force, so she can not shoot someone?

Seriously, imagine a doctor using the same reasoning. Your mom died because I misdiagnosed her cancer. Your fault for not becoming a doctor, one better than me.
Now yes, the medical profession as a whole has not been accused of delivering substandard treatment like the police have been, but you can't use "You should just totally change your entire life in order to compensate for us doing a bad job" as an excuse for problems.

Just because you're not in a profession or directly involved doesn't mean you can't comment on things that affect all of us. That's why we have this representative system of democracy, and concepts like public accountability.
And this little thing called the first amendment. So if you don't like a policy you can protest it whith others who feel the same way instead of dedicating your entire life around changing it.

It's not about relative importance, it's about public accountability and relative impact. I live, for instance, in a city that has a really good police/community relationship. If I'm disappointed about the way cops in other jurisdictions are doing their jobs, am I obligated to move my family, quit my job, and start from the bottom as a rookie officer to make the change? When I get there, am I actually going to be able to create the systematic change that I'm looking for?
To look at things from another angle, let's say you don't like what's going on on Wall Street and you live in LA. Are you obligated to move and get a job as a banker in New York City?

tl;dr: The fundamental point is that you shouldn't have to be a cop to criticize a cop, any more than I need to enlist in the Syrian army if I think they're committing war crimes, or any more than you need to work for HCSB if you get pissed off at Wall Street corruption.

The majority of people you see marching with BLM are young, capable people. If Police Brutality is as big of a deal as it's made out to be, you would think these young kids would want to actually do something about it. BLM has raised awareness for 5 years to no avail. It's time they do something.
