i thought it was extremely captivating, but idk how "good" it was. definitely a fun binge.

I thought that Hannah had some issues. She definitely overblew some things. And, I mean, I kind of feel maybe some of those things she wouldn't have cared about so much if the bigger things didn't happen which snowballed her a lot.

Some of the kids who were so worried if the tapes got out I felt shouldn't have been worried at all.

That said, the suicide scene was wow to me. I was surprised they depicted it so... realistically and on screen. I actually told my girl I felt better if she didn't finish watching the show.

The Alex thing seems relatively out of place for shooting himself and the photographer apparently about to go all colombine seems a bit much. Like it tried to do too much at the end of the season too quick.

I am torn on whether or not I felt the counselor actually contributed to Hannahs suicide or just failed to properly assess the situation. He did a very good job acting however which surprised me because the last time I saw him he was playing puff daddy in notorious.

I also was kinda wondering why they brought up that she lied in regards to the basketball player throwing away her letter in the hall if he didn't. They never furthered the fact that Hannah could be lying at times or made it seem like it mattered.

Well I mean, obviously she had issues... She said at the beginning of the tapes that some of the things may not seem like a big deal to others but they were to her. Which makes sense to me. Depression makes you warp things into bigger deals than they may seem to regular people. I know this from experience.

Alex shooting himself wasn't surprising to me. He was taking her death the hardest of almost anyone and blamed himself directly. He was falling apart the whole show. And as for photographer guy, I'm not so sure about. They left his fate open but it did seem kinda crazy. But he was a creepy pervert.

And the counselor I don't feel contributed to it directly, but he didn't help either...

The one thing I thought was interestijg about the photographer was that he seemed to think he was more important than he was at the end. He twice brought up having pictures of stuff and basically twice was brushed off.

It does seem interesting the person whose picture he took down off his own list I guess was the one who shot himself.

I actually feel Alex had moments he was struggling (say the pool scene) but Alex arguably had the best situation at home, the least culpability of any sort, and also a clear path back to Jessica at the end who seemed to getting closer to him again.
