Have pages 2-87 of your resume be a slash fiction you wrote about a random anime.

Gone through a professional resume-maker, your resume will be formulaic and stereotyped, indistinguishable from tons of other people who decide on the same route for their own resumes. Recruiters for companies have a knack for detecting these things, especially the ones who work for large/well-known corporations. Very high chance they'll give it one look, say 'meh' and shove it aside as borderline or below cases.

Not to say that it's a 'completely' bad idea. However, unless said professional knows you well personally and you actually meet up with him and invest time together writing it, it's not going to help much. You'd do better to get a few examples from such people, consult them, then get creative while writing yourself. Better yet, if you're lucky enough to personally know someone who has experience as a recruiter, consult him and seek advice on how to write up a resume, tailored just for you and your unique experiences, that could catch people's eyes in a positive way.

Same goes for people who give lectures on advice for job interviews. If you simply do everything those lectures advise you, you're likely getting your name struck off the list by the interviewer. Creativity and responses tailored to fit yourself wins out these days.
