I tend to admire a nice, mature romance story since it seems so difficult to pull off. Extra points if it's an anime.

Not a show, but Fast and Furious does a really great job of depicting love and willing to do anything for someone

Gone, but not forgotten. Too fast and furious for this life. R.I.P

Please Like Me
Parks and Rec
The Office
Sense8

All heavily feature warm rewarding romantic subplots.

Then there's the webseries "The Outs." The first season is free on YT. I bought the second season on vimeo. This explicitly about a relationship that's recently ended and the fallout, but gets better really quick and gets those feels in.

You're the Worst. Absolutely. It's another nu-sitcom like Please Like Me, about a couple of horrible people that insist they are not a couple, and their friends. Again, the plot is basically their relationships. It's almost entirely comedy the first season, but the drama comes in to fuck everything up mid-second season and it's not going anywhere. Currently in their fourth season.

Insecure. Just yes. Similar to the above the series is mostly comedy, then it's black comedy, then it's drama. The second season finale aired maybe a couple weeks ago, and the internet was shook. And the actor who plays Daniel, oh my goodness. Girl, what? Mhmph.

So critically and casually, all of these shows are snatching wigs, trophies, you name it. Watch them.

The most recent ones I've seen were anime; Golden Time and My Love Story (Ore Monogatari in Japanese). Both series have the relationship start pretty early on, so the show is about them going through their relationship rather than them trying to get into one.

Golden Time is set in a Japanese university, as opposed to the usual high school setting. I really enjoyed this one, though there's one aspect that turned me and a lot of people off. It involves ghost Banri, which I didn't like because it felt more "supernatural". It's mostly a pretty grounded series and has some relatable moments. The female lead goes through a lot of character development as the series goes on. A good bit of drama, but the characters

My Love Story is a really sweet anime that's just chock-full of moments that'll make you smile. I haven't finished, still on episode 21, but it's pretty uncontroversial so far. There's not really any conflict to speak of, so it's good if you just want something where you can sit back and relax.

@Kazi1212 Not really. I've been watching all the episodes of the office for the first time (in up to season 7). The will they won't they stuff between Pam and Jim in the beginning was good for a while but then it just became frustrating that they'd find excuses not to start dating. After they finally got together, there was no more drama between the two of them. Their relationship was perfect and that's boring and unrealistic.
