Or: I can't stand how they made Ellie a lesbian in The Last of Us.

I have no problem with lesbians or lesbianism. I'm all for inclusion in games media and any halfway decent female representation is good (and Ellie is good.) But when I try to sit and answer this question that I pose to myself, I can't come up with an answer.

How many straight female protagonists are there in games that don't have a relationship system with player created characters? When is heterosexual female sexuality ever explored with a female protagonist? If a female protagonist has any sexuality at all (usually they're asexual) they're gay. This is, I'm sure, to avoid making the 13 year old boy demographic uncomfortable and this is bullshit.

Ellie being gay is bullshit. Not because being gay is bullshit, but because the reason Naughty Dog made her gay is bullshit. They get to say they're being inclusive and but really they're just perpetuating the same bullshit trope.

It's fucking lame.
