what do you think? now that Gold and Silver is out I've been thinking about Ruby and Emerald today

Probably 18 months, so I guess right around February 2019?

Heart Gold and Soul Silver exist too they will release Gold and Silver.

On the 3DS? Never, since they already gave the bullshit excuse that GBA VC games don't play well on the 3DS, and that's why they never released any others besides those special ambassador games. I could easily see GBA VC on the Switch though, so they might release it there.

They’d be hardpressed to justify it because Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are still fully compatible with the current Pokemon Gen. There is absolutely no need for it.

I don't think they will ever make an appearance. ORAS was almost the same storyline as Ruby or Sapphire anyway with just a few minor tweaks.

HGSS are what, nearly a decade old now? Not a good comparison at all. Especially when that's not even this gen. ORAS are literally two years old. No way in hell they're just bringing over the GBA games anytime soon.

Plus the first two gen had the excuse of being GB games. There's no GBA games on 3DS outside of the Ambassador program ones that aren't even emulated properly.

I know about the remakes and I never got a chance to play the originals. but I have been told that not everyone liked the remakes and that it cut out stuff from the originals. something called Battle Frontier, for one example I was told about

I think there are alot of purists who would prefer the originals and would pay money for them. Nintendo should give people options. want the remake?buy the remake. want to give Nintendo free money to play the old versions? I see no downside to Nintendo offering that option. it's pure profit to just charge us 10 bucks to download an old game

LOL The Wii U is dead so no way in hell. But yeah, most fans seem to agree that the originals were vastly superior. Especially Emerald.

IMO, the Battle Frontier is the only thing that Emerald did better than OR/AS.

It has a better artstyle and it isn't brain dead easy. That makes it much better than ORAS

Really? But even then you say that as if the BF didn't have the potential to add dozens of additional of hours, new areas, and new Pokemon. OR/AS had basically nothing to do after you beat it.

I think people are gonna demand Ruby and Sapphire and Nintendo will have to do something. whether they find a way to make it work on 3ds or put it in Wii U or put it on the successor to the 3ds

Stahp with the Wii U stuff. Nintendo stopped supporting it before the Switch even came out, they disconnected most of its cservices, and uts out of production. Less than a 0% chance of it ever coming to WiiU period. It;s more likely to come to Swiutch which doesn't even have CVirtual Console.

ok i'm gonna be honest here.... I legit forgot about the switch. ok so then I guess I will hope for that VC then. it may not have one right now. but they promised one in the future. I'm gonna wait till the VC for Switch is out and then I might buy one.

Sadly that'll be a long time from now. Nintendo already trademarked the Nin 64 classic so it looks like those will be our "VC" for the time being.

Damn that sucks. I still have both my Ruby and Emerald cartridges from a while back. Were you just too young when RSE released originally?

You could always try a ROM until you can afford to get it.

nah. I'm old enough. I was in highschool when pokemon started in america. like 17 or 18 when Red and Blue came out. I just never got that gen for some reason. I kinda fell out of interest in the series for a while. I remember seeing Ruby and Sapphire in stores I just didn't buy it. and yea I could do....that. but I prefer to play on a real handheld if possible. and like I said, I COULD get the game. I have a gba....somewhere (just moved recently) but I worry about the battery. I don't know how to do battery replacements on cartridges
