It was in Mother/ Earthbound Beginnings. I got so sick of looking for this one melody, that I just looked it up. I feel so bad about it.... I feel like I should not even play the game anymore since I didn't find out for myself. Does anyone else ever feel like that?

It's better than looking something up and coming across a spoiler in the process.

The more complicated the video game, the more looking up is required. Try old school Japanese RPG's for SNES, PS1 and some PS2.

Nope. Never. Usually I look things up when it's in game puzzles. I don't usually like them and I lose patience with them quickly. I don't get frustrated I just think, "I really don't want to figure this out..."

why would you feel bad? i do it all the time, ok?
i'm in my mid 30's, i have too much to do as it is, and i'm about to have a kid. there's only so many hours in the day, and if i'm stuck for too long in a game, i move on. i let go of that 'gamer-pride' nonsense years ago, ok? --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I look up stuff for RPGs all the time. In fact I played through all of FFXV with a visual guide just so I knew when certain quests activated that I could go do.

I used to have to look up stuff all the time in zelda games until i hit my 20's and even then there is almost always one thing I end up having to look up just because I get too frustrated with it. --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!" Nope, not one bit. I used guides the entire way through both Metroid Prime 1 & 2 in order to ensure I got every upgrade, also used a guide to S rank every mission in Zeonic Front (and even if it weren't for that I still would have needed a guide for that fucking White Base mission), used a guide for Ocarina of Time's Water Temple, and there's more but those are just the ones that come straight to mind Absolutely zero regrets for any of it.
In fact, I even have a routine system set up for when I look for something. Search message board first, then the Answers section, then guides, and if all else fails ask on the message board. --- "Why bother with statistics when reality has already given you its answer." - Purple Heart ... I remember feeling really bad just for using a map in the first one, only to find out the original game came out with sort of a map, which my copy didn't have at all. --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!"
