Thinking about it now using a washcloth is probably the best if you change it out each time because leaving a wet loofah is just a breeding ground for bacteria, as is leaving a wet cloth and reusing it. I try to replace the face and body instruments once a month. I don't feel as clean using a washcloth for those tasks.
