We've reached a level of diminishing returns such that two year old phones run about as fast as modern flagship. The performance numbers arms race seems to have very little real world implications.

Smartphone benchmarks and hardware haven't mattered since maybe 2013.

99% of owners use their phones for games, social media, texts, and maybe an occasional call or two.

The mobile website is pretty fucking awful. IDK what javascript is doing in the background, but it really fucks with the phone. Turning off javascript makes it so much better, but then you can't quote.

It's just more keystrokes than it's worth on a mobile "keyboard."
