Or did you just not watch those sorts of movies with them? Maybe that didn't care that you saw it?

My mum watched Showgirls with me when I was about 6 years old. She didn't care.

my parents were super religious, they'd research movies beforehand to make sure there was absolutely no sexual content, and if there was an even remotely sexual scene, they'd make me look away and fast forward through the scene lol

no, my dad changed the channel when I was younger and later on when I was in my teens or so there'd just be total awkward silence until the scene was over

never went to a movie theater with them tho

Uhm... i dont think ive ever been IN such a scenario... sooo...

As regards to violence and gore

My dad did ask me to try out both Silent Hill and Oddworlds Oddysee (Both ps1) before i was 13 though.

Found both a bit too scary, and decided that it wasnt to my taste but that was it.
So i dont think theyd care.. or whatnot IDK i dont remember that far back

The only type of media ive EVER had them not wanting me to experience would be my Mom not wanting me to see the movie Braveheart

Dont remember the specifics, nor do i know why.

Went to see Titanic with my mom in 1990's. Covered up my 12-yo eyes during the painting scene. My first long-term ****y memory.

Neither of my parents really watch any movies. I don't recall watching any movie with my parents that might have had nudity in it.

Usually I'm the one showing movies to them. Except Mulholland Dr. That was a suggestion by my dad. A fact that still confounds me.

Yup, and then I was free to watch all the gore and violence that followed.

Lul, maybe her trying to hide boobies made me gay.
