There's nothing in the house to eat and they left this morning to take my dad to the hospital. He's having a heart catheter put in. Been keeping in touch all morning and afternoon to see how he's doing. It's 3pm. Haven't eaten all day. So I call her to ask if I can use her car to go grab a bite.
She's obviously stressed about dad, because she somehow flipped this into me not being concerned and me being negative. It's a great thing I'm only home for another week and a half. 2,000 miles does wonders for being out of the blast zone. --- We're whalers on the moon, we carry a harpoon, but there ain't no whales, so we tell tall tales, and sing our whaling tune. ...
