They still have to pay sales tax on anything they buy. And most employers will take money from their employee's paychecks for income taxes. Illegals citizens can't exactly file tax returns to get back any excess money they sent.

The federal government actually gets a ton of tax forms that they can't figure out who they belong too. It's not necessarily the employers faking the SSN as much as the illegals buying fake SSN just to get a job.

It's not that I'm saying all illegals are getting paying into income/social security taxes, but it does happen and there's not much our government can do about it.

It's just something we'll never have a concrete number for, because it's hard to track down people not in the system.

They're mostly a non factor. The crime thing is always dumb because crime isn't an immigration problem, it's a criminal justice problem. Of course some illegal immigrants commit crime. Some of literally every demographic commits crime. I'd like to think if someone here illegally commits a crime they'll get arrested like anyone else that commits a crime here.

There are only 11 million of them and the vast majority of them are just working and living their lives. Only about 8 million of them are in the labor force, so the odds of one of them taking your damn job are fairly low. Also, we're pretty much at full employment. Whose fucking jobs are they taking?

I've always been fundamentally confused about people getting so angry or afraid about people from other countries coming here. Who gives a shit? They can't be any worse than the people already here. It's a giant pain in the ass to legally emigrate here. If you make the process for getting here obstructively hard, of course people are going to figure out how to get around it.

The vast majority of us had to do absolutely nothing to become U.S. citizens. Acting as though a status you have due to complete random chance makes you better than other people is a very stupid thing.

Even before I lost a lot of my support for the left, this was something I thought was BS. The left wants people to have higher wages, and people are withholding talking certain jobs until they pay more. But instead of seeing this as labor trying to exercise power over capital, the left allow and encourage illegals or come in and take those jobs for lower wages like scabs crossing a union picket line while the right says send them back so the labor surplus can be lowered and employees have more power to demand higher wages.

They physically remove people's jobs from their person and run off with them, or break into homes and remove any jobs they can find, or even in some cases, walk into businesses wearing ski masks and point guns at employees, yelling for their jobs, which said employees then turn over to the robbers.

1. You have no controls over who enters the country -- could be a terrorist, mass criminal, drug cartel operative, etc.
2. Illegals use public resources and require subsidy via tax dollars, none of which they're contributing to
3. It undermines the immigration process and isn't fair to people who take the time to apply and come here legally

A lot of them have stolen security or fake. I read last week that illegal immigrants had about 2 million stolen SS's. That right there should be more than enough. A lot do pay taxes but there is a good chunk that don't and the number was in the billions of unpaid taxes from illegals

They come to America basically as refugees from a broken\corrupt government. Mexico has A LOT of excellent resources and means to have a lucrative economy. But the corrupt government and drug cartels take it away from the people.

They are our neighbor and we should help them fight. But it doesn't happen..... Ever wonder why?
