And really how hard is it to follow some of the citations in the wiki article and get it from a reputable source?

As a teacher NOW, what I can say is that Wiki is an excellent starting point.

However, you don't take everything posted on the internet just at face value. Follow the thread it gives you, see if those facts you see on Wiki add up.

There are instances where Wiki can be edited incorrectly. Always follow up on those facts to see where they got their info from. Wiki is not "peer reviewed".

I'd say 99% of the time Wiki is generally correct. Just don't be that 1% because you didn't do your due diligence.
