The children arc with the underage orgy.

Then the adult arc when they go back.

1990 movie had both the characters as Adults and Children.

2017 IT movie is focused on just the Children story. If there's a sequel you'll see the same characters 27 years later.

supposedly it was all one book, with two storylines set in different times, told in parallel. Same for the first movie.

This movie was just the "kid" storyline.
