Goldeneye 64 was better multiplayer
Perfect Dark was better single player

At least that's how I perceive it

I'm thinking of tagging TC as "Favorite".

I think it's because the younger generation is just recently learning about the impact GoldenEye had, and while it was very influential and memorable for gaming, Perfect Dark is what we should be remembering and paying tribute to more. I'm still pissed how much love and effort continues to go into GoldenEye: Source.

Are you shitting me? PD had way better multiplayer, too. After PD came out, me and my friends never went back to GoldenEye.

My cousins and I played both equally I'd say. I think Goldeneye was just more popular.

Goldeneye had a bigger impact which is why people remembers it more.
While Perfect Dark was better, it didnt revolutionize the genre as much as Goldeneye, so it is easier to forget it. And that it required that Memory Expansion Pack turned people away.

Perfect Dark, on an actual N64 (as opposed to an emulator or the Xbox remake) is barely playable today with a slideshow frame rate whenever things get busy.

Goldeneye, on the other hand, still plays great today even on the original hardware.

(I do agree, though, that Perfect Dark is the better game, with some incredible level design in particular, but you have to play the Xbox version to appreciate it today!)
