That's crazy. I never understand that kind of mania.

If you're in a direct hit of cat 5 hurricane stocking up on a few essentials can't hurt. But by the time it reaches your area it should be fine, other than just don't drive on the roads and such. Common sense stuff.

I don't get people think these things are some friggen apocalypse.

Flooding is the most dangerous aspect of a hurricane.

Yeah, but this is fucking Georgia. The worst thing that will happen is power outages for a day and maybe some debris from trees.

People acting like we're about to get slammed by a direct Cat 5 Irma.

I work at a grocery store and today was my off day, so I went in to pick up my check and buy groceries. I buy about two cases of water bottles a week because I have three dogs and I also workout heavily. The water palette was damn near empty. I also live north of Atlanta, TC.

Yeah people are going nuts lol. People need to calm down and get what they normally get. People grabbing shit they don't need is what causes the shortages.

I hear bottled water is a waste of money in general. Cheaper to use tap water.

Yeah, I use a Brita filter and it's the bomb. Occasionally I get a case of water so I can refill them with the filtered water for convenience.

A bit panicky, but in a way sensible. Clean drinking water can be the first thing to go if your local treatment plant goes offline or just gets overwhelmed, and if there's risk to power as well you can't guarantee being able to boil it to safety.

I live in southern Ohio and anytime we're expected to get more than 2 inches of snow, everyone loses their minds and goes ape shit on water, milk, and bread at the grocery. Every. Fucking. Time.

I don't understand either.

I just finally got some water at Publix. Everywhere has been out for days.

People hoard more shit than they'll ever need in a paranoid, out for self frenzy, making things worse for everyone else during shit like this.
