I know the pros were that it helped undocumented children have better opportunities like education and jobs. What were the cons?

Nobody who opposes it has any legitimate reason.

The cons were things like you'd have people commiting crimes like identity fraud and shit in order to get ID's, commiting perjury on government forms, and potentially getting caught commiting serious crimes and you still couldn't deport them, instead they'd just become a bigger burden on our already overburdened prison system.

That's pretty much the only con, but it did far more good than bad.
