I don't know what my talents are, but I know I don't have drive. How can it be obtained and maintained?

Drive often comes from seeing the rewards of your talents / skills.

Really, you just need to push through and try something for like a month straight. Go watch a Bob Ross painting video and try that out, or make some furniture, anything.

But don't stop until you've gave it your all. If money is an issue, try to ask some of your friends that have pricey hobbies if you can partake. If you already know you hate something, don't do it. If you're neutral to the idea, give it a go.

Yes!! I agree that drive comes from seeing results.

But when I don't see results, it severely demotivates me. I know I should keep going until I finally do see results, but working out/finishing college/workibg towards promotions take a long time. What are some small things I can do to build my drive?

You've either got it or you don't. Some people are just lazy and give up when the going gets tough. It's probably linked to skills learned during your upbringing.

But if it's something that can be learned, then I have a chance. I just would like some advice.

start with small things

for example, if you want to learn piano then start with some baby songs so you can get to playing a song and have the feeling of being able to do an entire song on your own, even if it is an easy one

so yeah start as small as you can so you can get those results early on and see how you feel about it, then start getting into the bigger things

if you stop doing a thing because of lazyness then that's a different problem entirely you need to work on (not being lazy anymore)
